New Year's Eve in Budapest 2026–2027: Parties, Restaurants and Events
If you are planning to spend New Year's Eve in Budapest this year, there are plenty of ways to celebrate and welcome 2027. Whether you are looking for a big party, a nice dinner, live music or something a little different, there are several options to choose from.
Budapest has a great nightlife scene, but you don't necessarily have to spend the night in a nightclub to enjoy New Year's Eve here. You can book a special dinner overlooking the Danube, attend a live show, dance until the early hours or even celebrate in a swimming pool!
I've put together a list of New Year's Eve parties and events taking place on 31 December 2026, including restaurants, bars, concerts and other experiences. Some events are already announced, while other venues are worth keeping an eye on as more programmes are released.
1. Nightclubs, music festivals and DJ parties
HELLO 2027 – New Year's Eve Festival
Location: MVM Dome
If you are looking for a big New Year's Eve party with live music, HELLO 2027 is one of the events to check out. The festival features well-known Hungarian artists, including Beton.Hofi, Irie Maffia, Sisi, KKevin and Hundred Sins, alongside several other performers.
The event starts at 18:00 and continues into the early hours. It is a good option if you want to experience the Hungarian music scene and celebrate with a large crowd.

Be Massive New Year's Eve
Location: Várkert Bazár, Buda
For those who prefer electronic music, Be Massive is hosting a New Year's Eve party at Várkert Bazár, close to Buda Castle. The lineup includes DJs such as Metha, Somazed, Lenny Lenoks, Abertura and Mattan.
The location is also worth mentioning, as Várkert Bazár is one of the beautiful spots along the Buda side of the Danube. If electronic music is your thing, this could be a good way to
spend the last night of the year.
Doboz NYE 2027
Location: Klauzál utca 10, Jewish Quarter
If you want a more traditional Budapest nightlife experience, Doboz is another venue to check. Located in the Jewish Quarter, it has several bars and dance areas, making it a popular choice for groups of friends.
The venue is known for its courtyard and the large King Kong sculpture. Its previous New
Year's Eve parties have included multiple dance floors and a midnight celebration. Check the official website for the 2026–2027 programme and ticket availability.
Ötkert – New Year's Eve 2027
Location: Zrínyi utca 4/A, near St. Stephen's Basilica
Ötkert is one of the best-known nightclubs in central Budapest, and it has confirmed that it is planning a New Year's Eve party to welcome 2027.
In previous years, the party has featured resident DJs, champagne, confetti, special decorations and VIP tables. The full programme and ticket details for this year's event should be checked before booking.
If you are looking for a central nightclub where you can dance until the early hours, Ötkert is definitely worth considering.
Instant-Fogas Complex
Location: Akácfa utca 49–51, Jewish Quarter
Instant-Fogas is one of Budapest's largest nightlife complexes, with multiple bars and dance floors playing different music styles. It is a good option if you are going out with friends and want to move between different rooms throughout the night.
The complex regularly hosts New Year's Eve parties, but its specific 2026–2027 programme and ticket information should be checked closer to the date.
Morrison's 2
Location: Szent István körút 11
Morrison's 2 is another popular option for a night out, with multiple dance floors, karaoke and different music styles under one roof.
It is worth checking if you want a lively, more casual party rather than a formal dinner or an expensive gala event.
Akvárium Klub
Location: Erzsébet tér 12, central Budapest
Akvárium Klub is a well-known music and nightlife venue right in the centre of Budapest. It hosts concerts, DJ events and parties throughout the year, so it is worth checking its programme for New Year's Eve.
The venue hosted a New Year's Eve party for the previous season, but I haven't found a confirmed programme for 31 December 2026 yet.
Szimpla Kert
Location: Kazinczy utca 14, Jewish Quarter
Szimpla Kert is one of Budapest's most famous ruin bars and a popular stop for visitors who want to experience the city's alternative nightlife scene. Its eclectic interior, mismatched furniture and courtyard make it quite different from a conventional nightclub.
However, Szimpla has not published a confirmed New Year's Eve event for 2026–2027, and current information suggests it may be closed on 31 December. I would check directly with the venue before including it as an option for that night.
2. Restaurants offering New Year's Eve dinners
If you would rather enjoy a nice dinner than spend the entire evening in a club, Budapest also has several restaurants organising special events. Some offer multi-course menus and live music, while others combine dinner with a party that continues after midnight.
Spoon the Boat
Location: Vigadó tér, by the Danube
Spoon the Boat is a particularly interesting option if you want to celebrate New Year's Eve with views of the Danube and Budapest's illuminated landmarks. The restaurant is located on a boat near the Chain Bridge, so you can enjoy the city views while having dinner.
The advertised celebration includes a five-course gourmet dinner, wine pairings, live vocal performances and dance shows. Classic and vegan menu options are available.
It is one of the more expensive options on this list, but if you are looking for a special occasion dinner in a beautiful setting, it is worth considering.
ÉS Bisztró
Location: Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, central Budapest
ÉS Bisztró is offering a four-course New Year's Eve dinner accompanied by live music and a glass of Piper-Heidsieck champagne.
The advertised dinner runs from 19:00 to 21:30, with entertainment continuing until 01:00. Guests can also continue the evening at Blue Fox The Bar, subject to the event arrangements.
The listed price is HUF 69,000 per person, plus service charge.
Retek Bisztró
Location: Nádor utca 5, District V
If you would like to try Hungarian cuisine during your New Year's Eve dinner, Retek Bisztró is another option in central Budapest.
The special menu includes a surprise appetiser, a choice of starter or soup, a main course and dessert. Live music is also part of the evening.
There are two dinner sittings, from 18:00 to 20:00 and from 20:30 to 23:00. The listed price is HUF 38,900 per person, including selected drinks and a glass of sparkling wine.
Széchenyi Kertvendéglő
Location: Állatkerti körút 9–11, City Park
Széchenyi Kertvendéglő is advertising a gala dinner and retro party, combining a three-course dinner with live music and dancing.
The programme includes performances by the Coctail Band and an ABBA show. The ticket includes a welcome bite, dinner, dessert, a midnight lentil dish, champagne and selected beverages.
The published price is €115 per person until 5 December and €125 afterwards, subject to availability. Vegetarian and vegan menus are available.
3. Bars, cocktails and more elegant celebrations
Blue Fox The Bar
Location: Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, Erzsébet tér
Blue Fox The Bar is a stylish option for those who want cocktails, music and a more glamorous setting. A DJ is scheduled to provide the soundtrack for the evening, and guests attending the hotel's dinner events can continue the celebration at the bar.
The hotel is also advertising a champagne-focused New Year's Eve experience at the Living Room, with a five-course dinner and a selection of champagnes until midnight.
VIBE Budapest
Location: Széchenyi István tér 7–8
VIBE combines dining, cocktails, live performances and DJ sets in an upscale setting near the Chain Bridge. It is worth checking if you want dinner and drinks in one place, without committing to a traditional gala dinner.
Confirm directly with the venue whether a special New Year's Eve package is available.
4. Live shows and unusual New Year's Eve experiences
Frank Sinatra & Friends – A Las Vegas Experience
Location: MOM Sport, Csörsz utca 14–16
If you prefer live entertainment, this show brings the glamour of Las Vegas to Budapest with music inspired by Frank Sinatra and classic show-business performances.
It is a good alternative if you are not particularly interested in clubbing but would still like to attend a special event on New Year's Eve.
Listed ticket prices range from HUF 12,280 to HUF 27,680.
National Equestrian Theatre – New Year's Eve Gala
Location: Kincsem Park, Albertirsai út 2–4
For something different, the National Equestrian Theatre is planning an evening combining musical theatre, horse performances and a retro dance party.
The advertised programme includes musical and operetta hits, guest performers Szinetár Dóra and Kamarás Iván, a midnight toast, disco and karaoke. There are separate ticket options for the gala and the later party.

Aquaworld – New Year's Eve Aqua Party
Location: Aquaworld Resort Budapest
If you are looking for something a little different this year, Aquaworld is organising a New Year's Eve party with illuminated pools, water slides, DJs, laser effects and dance performances.
The event runs from 20:00 until 03:00, with the pools closing at 02:30. Tickets are listed at HUF 35,000 for adults and HUF 25,000 for children under 14.
The ticket includes midnight food and a glass of champagne. Online booking is required, and availability is limited.
Salsa & Bachata New Year's Eve Party
Location: Benczúr utca 45
For people who love dancing, this event offers salsa and bachata social dancing, a beginner-friendly workshop, group activities, a limbo competition and a midnight toast.
The party is scheduled from 19:00 until 04:00. Listed advance tickets range from HUF 7,000 to HUF 10,000, depending on the ticket type.
5. Danube cruises
Another way to welcome 2027 is aboard a Danube cruise, with views of Budapest's illuminated landmarks, including the Parliament, Chain Bridge and Buda Castle.
Operators such as Legenda City Cruises are worth checking for a dedicated New Year's Eve sailing. Some cruises focus on sightseeing and drinks, while others offer dinner and entertainment.
Make sure you select a cruise specifically advertised for 31 December, as ordinary sightseeing cruises may operate on a different schedule.
A few things to keep in mind
New Year's Eve is one of the busiest nights of the year, so I would recommend booking your chosen event in advance, especially if you are planning to have dinner at a restaurant.
Make sure you check what your ticket includes. Some events include dinner and drinks, while others cover entry only. Service charges and booking fees may also apply.
It is worth planning your transport back to your accommodation in advance, as the city can get busy around midnight.
Finally, not every popular Budapest nightclub has announced its New Year's Eve programme yet. Ötkert has confirmed that it is planning a party, while Szimpla Kert, Heaven and Akvárium Klub still need to be checked for confirmed 2026–2027 events.
Budapest offers plenty of ways to welcome 2027, whether you prefer a special dinner, a live show, a pool party or a night on the dance floor. With a little planning, you can find an event that suits your budget and the kind of evening you want to have.
